Title: Developing Self-Reflection and Critical Thinking for Online Discussions
When/where: Thursday April 2nd, 2026 – 14h00 – Room AGATHE
Abstract: The rapid spread of misinformation in online spaces poses a significant scientific and societal challenge, influencing public opinion, decision-making, and trust in institutions. Digital platforms amplify biased, incomplete, or false information, often outpacing individuals’ ability to critically evaluate content. In this talk, I discuss how fostering critical thinking skills and encouraging deliberate self-reflection can help individuals better assess the credibility, intent, and implications of online information. By equipping users with these cognitive tools, we can promote more informed, responsible, and constructive participation in digital discourse.
